WASHINGTON, DC – Kent Boese, candidate for the D.C. Council Ward 1 seat, released the following statement on the decision made by TENAC to endorse his candidacy for the Ward 1 D.C. Council race:
“This past weekend, I was proud to receive the endorsement of TENAC, the District’s tenants' advocacy coalition. As a councilmember, I will always defend the rights on tenants in Ward 1 and across the District, especially when it comes to making housing in our communities livable and affordable. I have been, and will continue to be, a strong advocate for residents of all incomes in all types of housing. As chair of ANC1A, I worked with Park Morton residents to get them the housing they were promised and have worked to increase the amount of senior housing in Ward 1. I will continue to work with organizations like TENAC and our local community leaders to make sure housing and the rights of tenants are a priority for D.C. Council.”
